Pointing, pointedly.
"No," he sighed
And then replied,
"The one you're thinking of is me."
"Well, well." I cheered and slapped him on the back.
"The victory today is all thanks to you."
He sighed again and looked down at his feet.
As if some consternation was stuck upon his shoe.
At last he said, "I meant to sound retreat
But instead I called attack."

This is "F Troop" in poetry! (If you don't know what "F Troop" is, call me and I will sing you the theme song).
I love the line about "consternation on his shoe"--it's a brilliant device (the name of which I do not know, but I really think this is the best example of it ever written).
